Neighborhood Environmental Reports

Getting a home inspection? Good idea, but don't forget to get a Neighborhood Environmental Report (NER) too.

For an additional fee, Potomac Homes offers NER that provides you with any additional environmental information that might affect your new home and its occupants.

The Report is a quick and easy way to check for environmental issues that might be on the property or in the surrounding area and may indicate a possible cause for concern:

  • Environmental contamination can impact soil, groundwater, wells, and lead to indoor air quality issues.

  • Natural hazards can also cause issues

It is a small investment to protect your health and investment and it increases peace of mind.

NER looks for proximity to issues like:

  • Leaking Underground Storage Tanks

  • Landfills
  • Hazardous Waste Sites
  • "Superfund" Sites
  • Department of Defense Sites
  • "Meth Labs"

It is important to know before you buy!
